The Role
The Senior Cluster Insight Analyst position within Imperial's Global Insights function, creates actionable insights within the Cluster team. Working independently, with a combination of Consumer Insights and Sales & Trade insights, this role will deliver insights, data and analyses across defined markets to meet stakeholders' insight requirements and in accordance with best practice standards and processes.
Principle Accountabilities
Senior Cluster Insight Analysts are responsible for delivering insights to support business processes such as:
- Business Planning (in-Cluster & support for Group Portfolio & Brand Planning) including strategic pricing decisions & RGM
- Forecasting & Performance management (including support for Cluster, Regional QBRs, CEO Reviews)
- Sell-In and Sell-Out forecasting (demand planning) of chosen categories. Making changes to the SI & SO plans.
- Brand insights (brand health, consumer profiling, initiative planning / business cases)
- Performance reviews / trackers (progress vs plan, drivers of deviation vs plan)
- Tactical pricing where relevant (monitoring market, executing strategy)
- Trade insights including account prioritisation & segmentation, monitoring competitor activity, trade & sales initiative planning
- Initiative evaluation including Digital, consumer and trade
- Collate and prioritise insight needs amongst your business stakeholder set, working with the Head of Cluster Insights and Cluster Insight Manager(s) to allocate resources effectively to deliver to priority needs, and identifying resourcing and capability requirements.
- Work with multiple data sources, prioritise key areas of investigation, and apply a sound interpretation to findings
- Make best use of central, self-serve resources such as the global Insight Hub, Consumer Tracker, Hive, best-practice toolkits, reporting templates etc, developing a sound understanding of how these work
- Will assist stakeholders with regards to next steps, e.g. refining solutions, building business cases etc.
- Responsibility for delivering consistently high-quality insight outputs, in accordance with centrally-set standards and within agreed delivery timescales / terms of the SLA.
Skills and Experience Required
- Developing knowledge of insight techniques across brand, marketing and forecasting, sales, trade and pricing, on the market in scope. Ability to apply innovation learnings
- Strong analytical and data processing skills: can work with multiple data sources, prioritise key areas of investigation, and apply a sound interpretation to findings
- Can tell stories in a persuasive, articulate and engaging way, challenging stakeholder perspectives
- Able to develop close stakeholder relationships whilst applying an objective, insight-driven lens to key business problems
- Ability to embrace change in established operational techniques and practices
- Ability to work autonomously, when provided with relevant methods, tools and templates
- Comfortable with working virtually and in person in the Market Poland
- Collaborative mindset, keen to play an active role in the global Insight community
