The Role

We are looking for a Consumer Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team and act as the strategic co-pilot to the GCO and Consumer Marketing teams. Reporting directly to the Finance Director Cluster DACH, this pivotal role supports proactive commercial decision-making and helps drive revenue growth and commercial margin expansion.
You will play a critical role in optimizing our marketing investments, assessing return on investment, and challenging business cases with a sharp, independent perspective. This role truly starts with the consumer, ensuring our financial strategies are aligned with real consumer needs and behaviours. As a key business partner, you will foster strong, two-way relationships with marketing stakeholders, turning financial insights into actionable plans that accelerate performance.
Principal Accountabilities
Commercial Decision Support
- Drive financial input into strategic topics such as new product launches, pricing, market expansion, and brand investments.
- Evaluate and challenge business cases, following up with ROI assessments to improve future investment decisions.
- Deliver brand profitability analysis and identify opportunities to optimize mix and margin.
- Measure and evaluate promotional activity effectiveness across channels and build a best-practice playbook.
- Partner with GCO / Marketing / Insights to identify cost-saving opportunities and growth levers.
Financial Performance, Analysis & Planning
- Co-own financial target setting with Marketing & GCO / Insights and support annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Monitor financial performance, provide strategic commentary, and support periodic reviews to close performance gaps.
- Translate consumer and market data into financial insight to inform planning and decision-making.
- Provide feedback to Global Business Services to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Decision Support
- Lead ad hoc financial modelling for commercial decisions on pricing, volume, and promotions.
- Shape brand and consumer financial planning, including strategic target-setting and forecasting.
- Support monthly and quarterly business reviews with actionable financial insights
Skills and Experience Required
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), MBA, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in business partnering and FP&A.
- Background in large, global, matrixed organizations, ideally within FMCG or tobacco.
- Experience presenting data-driven insights in a clear, commercially relevant format.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of FP&A and consumer/market dynamics.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Advanced skills in financial modelling, investment appraisal and scenario planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Highly proficient in tools such as SAP, Anaplan, MicroStrategy, Hive, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
