The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees.
Lead a team of six, responsible for developing and executing the People and Culture strategy aligned with business objectives to drive organisational performance, capability, engagement, and growth.
Oversee the full scope of HR operations—including compliance, talent management, performance, employee relations, change management, and compensation—ensuring fairness, legal compliance, and cultural alignment.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Global Supply Chain teams in a joint venture environment to support strategic and operational P&C initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align people strategies, strengthen workforce planning, and foster a high-performance, engaged workforce across local and global teams. The role reports to a supportive leader Head of People Services - AMET & ANZ Service Operations who believes in growing talent from within.
Principle Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a Human Capital strategy aligned with business objectives to strengthen performance and organisational capability.
Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies (e.g. OHSE, Working Rules) and employment legislation; maintain and update HR policies and systems.
Talent & Development: Lead recruitment, succession planning, and capability development; promote continuous learning through targeted, cost-effective training initiatives.
Performance & Engagement: Manage performance systems and coach leaders to drive results; implement engagement and internal communication strategies to reinforce culture.
Employee Relations & Change: Provide expert advice on employment and disciplinary matters; support change initiatives and maintain effective relationships with public bodies.
Compensation & Benefits: Oversee fair and sustainable remuneration, including salary reviews and union negotiations in line with organisational policies.
Skills and Experience Required
Qualified in People & Culture or related field, with extensive experience across HR disciplines including employment law, compensation, performance, and union relations.
Proven leadership in developing teams, closing capability gaps, and delivering culturally aligned learning programs.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging internal and external partners, including government bodies.
Fluent in Lao and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR systems.
Knowledge of OH&S practices and management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 45001.
