The role
- Define and implement with his team the short and medium term strategy
- Guarantee the sustainability of the business
- Ensure a clear and transparent communication between Algeria, the cluster and the region.
- Define and build the best operating model
- Motivate, challenge, inspire and develop his team and establish a good working atmosphere based on the Group’s behaviours
Key accountabilities
Strategy
- Define with his team the short / medium term strategy
- Define, implement and deliver the yearly and mid term Business plans and ensure to get the buy in from the cluster and region
- Ensure that the operational market plans are fully aligned with the cluster strategy.
- Set up a clear follow up of the BP’s KPIs with regular meeting with the cluster
- Manage the partnership with the local investor (STAEM) and ensure that terms of the contract are fully respected (payment, price increases…)
Sustainability
- Define and implement in coordination with the cluster and with his team the Corporate & Legal affairs strategy.
- Define and implement with the Cluster P&C Manager the OHSE strategy
- Ensure that the cluster strategy is fully aligned with Group rules and the environment regulation.
Organization
- Motivate, challenge, inspire and develop his team and set up a clear and transparent top / down and down / top communication within his team and with the cluster.
- Set up with the P&C Manager a clear P&C strategy based on the Connections and ensure that all employees are fairly treated.
Ensure that our operating model is fully aligned with Group rules and perfectly match our VUCA environment with an optimized organisation and clear and simple ways of working allowing us to be agile with quick decision
Skills & experience
Candidate Minimum Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the FMCG and esp. tobacco sector
- Strong marketing expertise and commercial flair with the ability to simplify and address challenges quickly and to challenge statu quo situations
- Ability to work in an VUCA environment (agility, quick answer, consistent, persistent)
- Strong leadership and ability to inspire confidence in others with a good communication and management skills
- Good understanding of the African environment
- Ability to prioritise work and to work under pressureIntegrity and transparency
- Strong capacity to influence and to collaborate
- Fluent in French & English
