The Role

The Finance Manager Nordics as a part of local leadership team is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, reporting, and management of three markets (Norway, Sweeden, & Finland). This position involves guiding financial strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing insightful analysis that supports decision-making processes.
Additionally, the role includes oversight of accounting, statutory reporting, and controlling activities to reflect the full scope of responsibilities. This role is responsible for managing all financial operations for three markets, including finance, accounting, taxes, reporting, and controlling, with these areas directly reporting to the Finance Manager. Responsible for driving performance through providing insights, decision support and ad-hoc reporting. Supports and challenges the business to continually ensure that its strategies align with financial goals.
Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Sales, Marketing, P&C, and Supply Chain to ensure business strategies are financially viable and sustainable. As a truly Connected Leader this Business Partner displays all elements of Imperial behaviours to a very high standard.
Principle Accountabilities
- Drive performance by analysing results against budgets and forecasts, leading scenario planning, and delivering market-level reports to stakeholders.
- Lead financial planning & analysis, overseeing the business planning and budgeting cycle, and contributing to long-term strategic planning for the Nordics.
- Oversee accounting, statutory reporting, and controlling to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders in Operations, Sales, Marketing, P&C, and Supply Chain to ensure business strategies are financially viable.
- Manage financial risk by identifying exposures, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and mentor the finance team, building capability and providing financial training to non-financial managers.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in financial leadership within a large, complex, and matrixed organisation (FMCG experience preferred).
- Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, accounting, and reporting across multiple markets.
- Advanced analytical skills, with proficiency in systems such as SAP, Anaplan, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Fluency in English is required, with additional proficiency in a Nordic language is desirable
