The Role

Reporting to the General Manager FBNL, the Market Manager France will be responsible for the overall performance of the French market leading and managing the execution of sales and trade plans. As a key member of the Cluster Management Team, the Market Manager will lead all activities across channels and categories delivering on agreed KPIs and objectives ensuring volume, market share and financial targets in the market according to business plan are achieved.
The Market Manager will take the lead in developing a high-performance culture within the market team ensuring the development of appropriate skills and behaviors to deliver executional excellence in a multi-category cluster.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead, manage and monitor the performance of the French market ensuring the achievement of revenue, market share and profit targets in close collaboration with the Cluster Leadership Team to support overall cluster business plan delivery. 
  • Lead the activities of the French market teams for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives such as distribution, availability, merchandising and advocacy across channels and categories.
  • Create, manage and execute the operational plan and its commercial activities considering the cluster channel and brand strategy regarding portfolio, brand activation, distribution and customer engagement. 
  • Drive the EVP acceleration plan in the market by developing the route to market and implementing new sales growth initiatives relevant to the category.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction as well as personal and team development for the market leadership team to build an engaging work environment and a performance driven culture.
  • Develop a market leadership team that drives executional excellence, customer and employee engagement and commercial thinking at all levels.
  • Develop, in collaboration with CLA department, a strong network with external stakeholders (Trade Association, NMA, Public Authorities, PRO body, media...).
  • Foster a fruitful collaboration with internal stakeholders (Finance, GSC, P&C, GCO etc...) at market, cluster, regional and group level.
  • Develop strong interaction with other IB Group Departments to promote market initiatives and build on best practices
  • Drive the implementation of the 2030 IB Group strategy in France (change management, high culture performance)
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place to meet Group standards & local regulation
  • Plays a role model to ensure the values of the group are fully implemented in the market
