Job Title: Innovation Analyst

The Role
This role sits in the Innovation Digital Transformation team within Innovation Excellence and supporting the ambitions of our Innovation & GSRA Data Strategy programme. The Data Strategy programme, managed by the Data Strategy core team, are responsible for overseeing digital capabilities and initiatives. This programme is a key strategic pillar to support the successful delivery of our NGP 2030 Strategy. This role will primarily be involved in supporting the Data Strategy Core team and their various activities: enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting the operationalisation of digital transformation across Innovation and GSRA functions.
Principal Accountabilities
Supporting Data Strategy Programme
- Support the Core team with roadmap, prioritisation, realisation, and adoption of use cases
- Prioritisation to Realisation: Work closely with Data Champions to convert ideas and early-stage use cases into well-defined use cases (including value case work) for the Data Strategy pipeline
- Realisation to Adoption: Understand current pain points and business needs to articulate and translate them into business requirements
- Support business case value estimation and realisation for use cases
- Work along with the Innovation Process Lead in supporting existing/running cases within the Digital Transformation programme
- Business ownership/administrator for deployed tools/use cases using dashboards and analytics to ensure adoption and change management support after rollout
Continuous Improvement
- Understand the data landscape and develop best practices for data management
- Lead data improvement activities within Innovation
- Document best practices: manage recommendations from use cases and ensure cross-functional alignment to ensure consistent adoption and prioritisation of best practices across teams
- Collaborate with the Innovation Capabilities Lead to roll out learnings and practices relevant to data and digital across the Innovation function
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience with project/programme management methodologies (Agile, Stage Gate) and digital delivery frameworks.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate business cases, including value estimation and realisation tracking.
- Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms including Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across levels and functions.
- Thorough, disciplined, well-structured and pro-active approach to tasks.
- Ability to capture, analyse and portray information in a clear and concise format. E.g. for sponsor decks, business cases.
- Ability to integrate well as a part of an international team.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of individuals, including at a senior level
