The Role

Are you passionate about public affairs and eager to shape strategies in a fast-evolving regulatory landscape?

Altadis is seeking a Corporate Affairs Specialist to join our team in Madrid and play a pivotal role in interpreting political and regulatory developments in Spain and across the EU.

Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)
Reporting to: Head of Corporate Affairs, Spain

 


Principal Accountabilities

  • Monitor and analyze political, legislative, and regulatory trends that impact our business.
  • Develop position papers, advocacy materials, and strategic presentations for senior management.
  • Engage with institutions, policymakers, and key stakeholders to build strong relationships.
  • Provide insights and contribute to strategic discussions, planning, and prioritization.
  • Keep our teams informed about potential regulatory changes and their implications.
  • Support the daily operations of the Corporate Affairs department.

 


Skills and Experience Required

  • University degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Relevant experience in public affairs consultancy or the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish institutions; familiarity with EU institutions is a plus.
  • Proven experience with parliamentary and regulatory processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • A proactive team player with sharp analytical skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
