The Role
Grade: 8
Location: Krakow
Tax Accountant, Statutory & Direct Tax Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing local statutory accounting, group tax reporting, Corporate Tax compliance and reporting processes for the assigned countries in EMEA region.
Principle Accountabilities
- Covering group tax reporting on periodical basis, with high extent of independency
- Cooperation with external provider for corporate tax calculation and tax returns preparation,
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in cooperation with external provider
- Reconciliation between local GAAP and IFRS:
- Local GAAP Account reconciliations.
- Coordination of calendar with external consultants, auditors, internal stakeholders in the Market and other parties involved in cooperation with direct manager or senior
- External Audit support, liaison with external auditors and coordination of audit deliverables
- Interpretation and roll out of local accounting policy/standards.
- Preparation of the statutory filing in line with Local GAAP requirements, including all notes and disclosures,
- Constantly look for improvement opportunities and drive implementation (compliance, quality, and process efficiency).
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong accounting expertise, able to act as focal point between different stakeholders, multitask and meet fixed deadlines.
- Master’s Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
- 6+ Hands-on accounting, tax and statutory reporting experience in an international environment
- Experience in managing full local statutory compliance process for selected European countries.
- Experience in CIT calculations, for local and group purpose,
- Strong computer skills, particular experience with Excel and SAP,
- Professional proficiency of English,
- ACCA qualification or equivalent is a plus.
- Critical mindset to be able to challenge tools and processes in use while promoting business development.
- Ability to multitask and deal with time constraints while effectively managing deadlines.
- A sound business sense with excellent numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and at stakeholders’ side.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and drive for excellence.
