The Role
Grade: Tariff group ETV 24-26 up to GG7 depending on qualification and experience.
Location: Hamburg
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide Employee Relations advice, guidance and case management for: Policies, Discipline, Grievances, Appeals, PIPs, complex leaver case
- Provide advice and guidance to people leaders on resourcing activity, including local job evaluation and grading, and coaching on interviewing where needed
- Support activities across the employee lifecycle e.g. connected performance, talent and succession planning at local levels
- Manage local reward, compensation, and job evaluation for employees and liaises with the Reward CoE on benchmarking for Global Grades utilising the Global Job Framework
- Manage IME associated processes in conjunction with Global Mobility and where applicable the Strategic BP
- Provide tactical support to organisational changes and projects e.g. supporting consultation processes and managing people transition activities including but not limited to redundancy & settlement paperwork
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and promoting best practice, maintaining existing P&C policies and suggesting improvements and / or new policies to align with P&C strategic initiatives, improve our employee value proposition and drive operational excellence of P&C across the business, utilising internal and external insights
- Support the annual performance management processes by coaching managers, ensuring consistency, fairness and understanding holistically of connected performance
- Acting as an advocate for the wider P&C function and collaborating with P&C Operations, Strategic Business Partners and CoEs teams
- Collaboratively work with the wider P&C team on local and global projects e.g. I belong campaign, Employee Experience
- Support the change journey by advocating colleagues and People Leaders use of P&C technology and new ways of working
- Partners and coaches People Leader on recruitment best practice, salary management principles and signs off on offer process
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years professional experience as People Partner in an international environment, ideally FMCG industry
- Strong operational and working knowledge of local employment legislation and best practice employee relations to be bale to handle ER cases independently
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, sound professional judgement, decision making and understanding of key P&C policies and processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport, influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Can balance competing demands and manage time and workload to focus on and deliver the key priorities
- Ability to work in a global matrix environment, to translate and present P&C initiatives to business stakeholders and to interpret and analyse data to inform data led decision making and insights
- Professional HR Qualification or equivalent University/Bachelor Degree
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Experience of an unionised/works council environment
