The Role

This position sits within the Product Realisation / Leaf Blending department and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling, preparation, and quality assessment of tobacco samples. As a Leaf Sample Room Assistant, you will contribute to tobacco validation processes and support product development projects. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, good analytical and organisational skills, and an interest in working within a technical and collaborative environment. It offers valuable exposure to product realisation processes in a global FMCG setting, with opportunities for learning and development.
Principle Accountabilities
- To receive, check and store tobacco samples.
- To prepare master samples and to make sure that residues and ground samples are analysed accordingly.
- To prepare tobacco samples and test cigarettes for tobacco validation and smoking sessions.
- To support Consumables Realisation in project work
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent MS-Office knowledge
- Sound statistics knowledge
- Fluent in English
- Pronounced capabilities of teamwork and communication
- Intercultural awareness
- Preferably a knowledge of tobacco, leaf quality and validation principles (otherwise training on-the-job)
