The Role

Imperial Tobacco España is seeking an IT Lead Engineer to oversee the local IT infrastructure and IT services across our dynamic Iberia & Italy region.
This role combines high-impact technical leadership with operational excellence, providing a unique opportunity to influence business outcomes at a regional scale.
You’ll lead a team of 5+ IT professionals across the region, reporting directly to the Head of Regional Engineering, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers.

Location: Madrid - Hybrid
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team while handling IT budgets, financial reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead and manage regional IT support operations, ensuring reliable infrastructure across client hardware, software, servers, telephony, and network devices.
- Serve as the primary IT contact for business leaders and staff within the Iberia & Italy region, aligning IT solutions with local needs.
- Oversee and maintain accurate IT asset inventories, ensuring systems are up to date and compliant with global standards.
- Drive implementation of new technologies, infrastructure upgrades, and change initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Ensure regional IT Business Continuity Plans (BCP) are developed, tested, and aligned with organizational requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant experience in IT and leading a high-performing team with a strong technical foundation.
- Budget and vendor management experience.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Active Directory, and desktop/server infrastructure.
- Proven track record managing client/server environments and supporting telephony/IP-based solutions.
- Strong communication in English and Spanish.
- Experience working in ITIL-driven environments.
