The Role
The Role: GSRA Business & Operations Executive
Global Grade: GG9
Location: Bristol
As GSRA Business & Operations Executive, you will support the Planning Manager, Head of Operational Science and wider function with the operational planning, implementation and maintaining of business and process related activities - In this role you will drive efficient and effective ways of working across the function to ensure company objectives and strategy is met.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide business support to the Operational Science department and wider GSRA function.
- Maintain relationships with third party suppliers, offering business support, in conjunction with procurement.
- Manage all the financial spend of the department, including financial tracking, financial reporting and dashboards for both scientific projects and BAU activities. Update stakeholders on financial reports and position of the department throughout the year.
- To include, raising PO’s, responding to invoice queries from team members and external suppliers and raising investment applications.
- Working with finance to provide monthly spend reports and provide LE’s when requested by the business. Monitor financial performance against functional business plan throughout the year. Assist with financial year end.
- Working with Project managers across the function to provide budget support and project tracking, working alongside the project managers and teams. Build relationships with these teams in GSRA.
- Offering operational support by raising BAPS and engaging with suppliers.
- Provide support and training (specifically financial), across GSRA when needed
- Support the planning manager and senior managers in GSRA to understand the business plan once finalised and align this to the financial tracking
- Support the delivery of ad-hoc projects for the Head of Operational Science and GSRA Leadership Team.
- Monitor and offer improvements to daily processes aligning with business strategy and objectives.

- Knowledge of raising PO’s and invoicing
- Ability to understand priorities and manage workflow and communications accordingly
