The Role

A new profile partnering with stakeholders from Finance, Insights and Supply chain to forecast size and share while ensuring market demand being met and to drive the development and delivery of a competitive and profitable Revenue Growth Management (RGM) plan.

RGM is one of IMB’s top priorities, for that reason the market has identified the need to upscale this capability.

The Forecasting & Pricing Analyst will foster multi-way relationships and drive target delivery. The role will support the organisation to continually ensure that financial goals are met by accurate and timely forecasting and demand planning and through scenario-based and holistic pricing analysis. The position will provide pivotal input to local Sales & Trade initiatives, budgeting and business planning as well as building strong & highly collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.


Principle Accountabilities

FORECASTING & DEMAND PLANNING

  • Set up forecasting models to accurately guide on size development across categories and share expectations on sell-through and sell-out perspective.
  • Align sell-through forecast with sell-in schedule and liase with wholesalers and supply chain on demand planning and deliveries. Maintaining a close collaboration between stakeholders will be a pivotal part to ensure market supply and stock availability, keeping a balance between maximized financial delivery and cost saving through effective stocks management.
  • Analyse market trends and macro-economic effects to predict market size shifts and trends in order to stay ahead of emerging opportunities while also regularly analyse and update the market profit pool.
  • Collaborate internally with stakeholders in Finance and Insights to support Business cases and Commercial reviews with on time size and share data giving guidance and calculating potential uplifts through relevant initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Insights Manager to ensure consistent data availability for business planning, stage-gate reviews and other commercial meetings.

PRICING

  • Drive business impact at market level: be the pricing expert and provide thoughtful analysis to deliver competitive and strong plans on how to grow Net Revenue/000 delivery in line with Cluster expectations.
  • Propose to the Insights Manager on Price/Mix growth opportunities across categories
  • Work closely with the GSC Hub, local Insights and Finance business partners, Market Manager and colleagues within the RGM community.
  • Lead the project to deliver annual MPI (manufacturer price increase) calendar to support the Net Revenue and Gross Margin delivery targets for the market.
  • Conduct annual (or more frequent as appropriate) pricing review to identify potential revenue upsides, manage excise positions to support market objectives and set guardrails on channel / customer pricing, promo, trade terms, and mix execution.
  • Support the Insights Manager and CLA Manager on developing Excise proposals for upcoming tax models. Be the expert on identifying the optimal industry proposal across categories to ensure commercial sustainability.
  • Pricing & Price Architecture: Set optimum brand price indexes, conduct Pack Price Architecture white space analytics and recommend new pack launches, translate optimal brand index to SKU list price and recommended shelf price, and monitor consumer and net price realization by SKU/channel/account.
  • Mix Management: Analyse current mix performance, identify mix opportunities, support prioritization of SKU mix based on profitability-potential analytics, help set SKU mix allocation and track execution.
  • Set optimal brand / portfolio pricing (e.g. based on elasticities)
  • Support innovation agenda with RGM market insights (on pricing / positioning / white spaces)

Skills and Experience Required

  • Educated to degree level in relevant field
  • Experience in delivering forecasts, demand plans and pricing scenarios.
  • Commercially savvy, knows the business and able to translate complex data/information into consumable and simple stories.
  • Confident and articulate. Ability to persuade different stakeholders up to MLT level.
  • Forensic knowledge of data, research and analytical techniques. Mindful of these to anchor business recommendations in analytical fact.
  • Highly collaborative, with an unflinching focus on co-ordination and knowledge sharing across teams
  • Finger on the pulse of the latest market trends; constantly challenging the status quo on pricing opportunities, portfolio initiatives and consumer needs
