The Role

The Category Development Manager role sits in our global EVP Category platform and reports directly to the Global Head of Marketing. You will be part of our Global New Generation Products team in Amsterdam and London, focusing on brand blu. The Next Generation Products team is a lean, senior, and agile team with a challenger mindset.
Principle Accountabilities
- Guide, share, and align the EVP go-to-market strategy for all new market roll-outs of the global product and brand positioning.
- Develop and deliver global campaign toolkits for new product launches based on lead market activation requirements.
- Lead marketing concept development and consumer validation, packaging, and campaign development for specific new product launches.
- Provide category support and functional expertise when clusters/markets are developing launch plans.
- Ensure onboarding is managed efficiently from an end-to-end CX and brand perspective, including local brand agencies and service providers meeting required benchmarks.
- Steward the global brand and campaign positioning, working closely with EVP Marketing Managers and Digital CX Manager to integrate global brand communication and consumer engagement developments for local adaptation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in Brand or customer experience (CX) marketing strategy, with experience in in either sales or marketing roles.
- Demonstrated experience in working across multiple cross-functional teams at global, regional, cluster, and market levels.
- Knowledge and experience across different types of market environments.
- Ability to understand legal restrictions and operate within boundaries, adapting to market requirements whilst maintaining global guidance.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- People and agency management experience, with demonstrated experience in understanding KPIs and resulting actionable insights.
