The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transfer Pricing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for calculating transfer prices in accordance with the company’s transfer pricing methodology, supporting the global transfer pricing policy, and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants, as well as hands-on work with SAP/SAP S/4HANA systems.
Principle Accountabilities
- Calculate transfer prices in line with the approved transfer pricing methodology.
- Support the development and maintenance of the global transfer pricing policy.
- Monitor and control intercompany transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and process intercompany recharges, including service and cost allocations.
- Perform operating margin adjustments to align with arm’s length principles.
- Collaborate with external consultants in preparing local and master file documentation.
- Assist in transfer pricing audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
- Analyze financial data to support transfer pricing decisions and benchmarking studies.
- Ensure accurate data integration from SAP/SAP S/4HANA for transfer pricing purposes.
- Support cross-functional teams (e.g., Controlling, Legal, Tax) with transfer pricing insights.
- Constantly look for improvement opportunities and drive implementation (compliance, quality, and process efficiency).
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines and local tax regulations.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail in financial data analysis.
- Proficiency in SAP and/or SAP S/4HANA for financial and intercompany data extraction.
- Excellent Excel skills for modelling and calculations.
- Effective communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management skills to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvements.
- Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS or local GAAP).
- Ability to interpret legal and financial documents related to intercompany agreements.
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Critical mindset to be able to challenge tools and processes in use while promoting business development.
- Ability to multitask and deal with time constraints while effectively managing deadlines.
- A sound business sense with excellent numerical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and at stakeholders’ side.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and drive for excellence.
