The Role

The NGP Project Engineer (OND) will lead new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and drive the development of OND product manufacturing capabilities and processes across our factory network.

This role requires close collaboration with the Innovation and OND Category teams, as well as IMB Quality and Manufacturing sites, to optimise and implement product and process improvements.

The incumbent will be responsible for executing activities within the OND category, working in tandem with both the regional Global Engineering team and local factory teams to oversee machinery investment and execution projects, including new, incremental, and core innovation projects. This position demands experience in product and process engineering for high-volume mass production. A proven track record of successfully delivering projects in the manufacturing industry is essential.


Principle Accountabilities

  • Drive the development and execution of new OND product and process initiatives, including associated investments.
  •  Ensure seamless scale-up from design to full mass production across multiple sites.
  • Develop qualification protocols and partner with Quality to implement robust product and process standards.
  • Manage product and process changes with comprehensive validation and qualification.
  • Use data insights, PFMEA, and RCA methodologies to optimise performance and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to global technical standards, share knowledge, and support ESG and manufacturing excellence.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering complex, multi-site projects.
  • Solid understanding of OND/tobacco manufacturing processes, NPI, and high-volume mass production.
  • Proven background in Global Supply Chain (GSC) projects and collaboration across functions.
  • Skilled in business case preparation, investment management, and cross-functional project delivery.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential; Polish is an advantage.
  • Able to engage stakeholders, foster collaboration, and introduce new approaches in a dynamic environment.
