Key elements

  • Design and implement the data architecture for the company's different data programs.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify data sources, and design data solutions that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain data models, metadata management, and data integration processes that will enable us to harness the power of our data.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment with our overall enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and data lineage documentation to enable us to track and manage our data effectively.
  • Develop, promote and lead best practices for data development. Mentor and guide developers on effective data solution strategies, coding standards and design principles
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development teams to ensure that data architecture and design principles are followed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data reporting and analytics frameworks that enable data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and maintain platform governance standards and procedures to ensure that our Azure Data Platform and Databricks environments are optimized for performance, security, and compliance
  • Communicate data architecture and data management strategies, policies, and standards to stakeholders and business leaders.

Education/ Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data architect or a related role.

Additional Knowledge:

  • Expertise in designing and implementing data architectures for complex data environments.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, metadata management, and data integration technologies and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Data Platform and Databricks.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven networking skills and stakeholder management skills with a good understanding of the wider objectives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:

Progression through the applicable tariff group scheme. Tariff group ETV 24-26 depending on qualification and experience.
