This role is offered as a 12 month Fixed Term Opportunity


Principle Accountabilities

  • Deliver Analytical Excellence: Perform both routine and complex testing with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring full compliance with GxP, GLP, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Lead Innovation and Troubleshooting: Resolve technical challenges, contribute to root cause analysis, and support the development and validation of novel analytical methods.

  • Manage Projects Independently: Take ownership of assigned projects from planning through to reporting, maintaining clear, timely documentation and monthly progress updates.

  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Create and maintain essential laboratory documentation—SOPs, validation protocols, and technical reports—in line with ICH and internal quality standards.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure laboratory needs are understood and effectively supported.

  • Support Development and Continuous Improvement: Mentor junior analysts, assist with equipment validation, and contribute to ongoing improvements in laboratory operations and stock control.


Skills and Experience Required

  • Skilled in Advanced Analytical Techniques: Proven hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, and Pharmacopeial methods, delivering high-precision results in complex laboratory environments.

  • Compliance-Focused Professional: Implements and maintains rigorous procedures aligned with GxP, COSHH, PUWER, and other regulatory standards to ensure full operational compliance.

  • Clear and Effective Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills used to convey technical data and insights clearly across teams and stakeholders.

  • Technically and Statistically Proficient: Combines deep analytical expertise with robust report writing and statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Decisive and Deadline-Oriented: Performs confidently under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

  • Health & Safety Champion: Actively promotes a safe working environment through routine housekeeping, risk assessments, and adherence to company safety policies.
